Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Bike Delivery and Pickup thing work?
It’s actually pretty simple and really convenient for you!
First, Book Online by selecting the bikes and dates you want to ride. After payment you’ll answer some questions, one of which is your delivery address or trailhead you’d like to meet at. Next, you’ll select a time for delivery and pickup of the bikes. Our team will then schedule your delivery and make any changes that we need to. Keep in mind we are often serving multiple customers a day and need to move delivery times around accordingly (ie 4 customers can’t have 8am).
Day Of you rental you can also request pickup earlier than scheduled by calling 30-45 minutes before you’d like pickup.
Keep in mind, all bikes need to be ready for pickup between 4:30-5pm!
Where can I find up to date trail conditions or wet weather routes?
Coler MTB Preserve: https://www.facebook.com/groups/262979124112610
Back 40, Blowing Springs, Little Sugar, etc.: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1503992553243925
Hobbs State Park: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1458991784420528
Wet Weather Routes: All trails systems have some form of “Wet Weather Route”. Back40/Little Sugar seem to always hold up the best as they are the natural Arkansas soil (no clay capping) and drain well. Please don’t hesitate to ask us for specific trail recommendations for just after or during rain storms.
Who should ride a Mountain Bike or E-MTB? Who shouldn't?
The design of mountain bikes has made the sport more accessible than ever. Our bikes will inspire confidence no matter your ability level. That said, a mountain bike is a tool that takes years to perfect using and needs to be respected. We have specific trials and riding areas that we can recommend based on your skill level. Remember Pre-Ride, Re-Ride, and Freeride any feature or trail and use your best judgment at all times.
NOTE: We don’t recommend our Full Suspension E-MTBs to newer riders who are not familiar with braking, shifting, and maneuvering a standard MTB. The added weight, speed and complexity of an E-MTB is often a better match for intermediate to advanced riders. If you are a newer rider you can also check out our E-Hardtails.
If you have any chronic health conditions that may affect your ability to exercise please consult with your doctor before trying mountain biking, even with an E-bike.
We also offer Greenway/City E-Bikes for those looking to just cruise around and have fun outdoors!
Do you provide gear or protective equipment with your bike rentals?
We will provide you with a helmet with your rental, for FREE. You must wear your helmet at all times when riding our bikes.
We recommend knee pads and gloves for many of our trails. We don’t offer rentals of pads and gloves for sanitation reasons. We highly recommend visiting your local bike shop before arriving to ensure you have the protective equipment you need already with you.
What shoes/clothes should I wear when riding?
Skate shoes are probably the best non-MTB Specific shoe for gripping on the platform pedals that our bikes have. Other good choices are trainers, running shoes, short hikers. No boots that limit your ankle movement.
Clothing is a seasonal/personal matter but we recommend “dry-fit” type T-shirts and well-fitted shorts in late spring, summer, and early fall. Baggy gym shorts tend to catch on the seat at the wrong times. In winter months a merino long sleeve and a vest are enough to get by most days. Check the weather before your scheduled rental date for the most up to date conditions.
When and Where do we rent the bikes?
We specialize in a delivery-only rental model for our bike rentals. This means that you book online or over the phone and we deliver the bike to you the day of your ride.
We deliver as early as 8 am and pickup after 10am all the way to close. While booking online you’ll choose your times and delivery location.
Where should we ride?
Bentonville, Bella Vista, and Rogers have a wide variety of trails that vary from mild to wild, cross country routes to freeride parks. We have a trail guide on our site that can help you make some initial decisions on where to ride and how to maximize your time while visiting the “Oz Trails”. We’re happy to provide trail recommendations and find out where you can have the most fun!
